Terms & Conditions

1. Service Agreement

These terms govern all legal services provided by Polestat ("we," "us") to clients ("you"). By engaging our services, you agree to these terms. Services include contract review, corporate consultation, and employment law advice.

2. Scope & Limitations

Polestat provides legal guidance based on German law. We do not guarantee specific outcomes. All advice is subject to applicable legal limits. Clients retain final decision authority.

3. Confidentiality

We maintain strict confidentiality of all client information under German legal privilege and GDPR regulations. Information shared during consultation is protected from disclosure except where legally required.

4. Fees & Payment

Service fees are provided in writing before engagement. Payment terms are net 14 days from invoice. Late payments accrue interest at statutory rates. We reserve the right to suspend services for unpaid invoices.

5. Intellectual Property

All work product, documents, and advice remain our intellectual property unless explicitly transferred. Clients receive a license to use materials for their stated legal matter only.

6. Liability Limitations

• Liability limited to fees paid in the preceding 12 months
• No liability for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages
• We are not liable for client delays or failure to provide required documents

7. Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by German law. Disputes shall be resolved through mediation first, then arbitration or courts in Duisburg, Germany.

8. Data Protection

Your personal data is processed per GDPR and our Privacy Policy. We collect minimal data necessary for service delivery. You have rights to access, correct, and delete your data.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate services with 14 days written notice. Upon termination, we transfer all client documents and provide a final invoice.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms with 30 days notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
